Illuminating realities for Schizophrenic individuals

Verisight is an AR-powered assistant that helps users distinguish between hallucinations and reality using real-time visual and voice-based scene analysis. Built for headsets like Meta Quest, Verisight uses a combination of AI vision models, spatial awareness, and conversational interfaces to detect inconsistencies in the user’s environment—and gently guide them toward what’s real.

Why We Built It?

Hallucinations—whether visual, auditory, or tactile—can be terrifying and disorienting. For people living with conditions like schizophrenia, PTSD, or even temporary psychosis triggered by trauma or substance use, it’s often hard to tell what’s real and what’s not.

Instead of treating AR solely as a tool for productivity or entertainment, we asked: What if extended reality could serve as a cognitive anchor? Something that sits quietly in your periphery—but steps in when your senses betray you.

We won the Best Overall Prize at ImmerseGT 2025.
